Miss Allen retired from the Newport News Shipyard in 2006 after 34 years as an Administrative Secretary.
Born in Warwick County in Newport News VA, she is a 1959 Hampton High School graduate and later received her Associates Degree from Paul D. Camp Community College in 1991.
Miss Allen was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Newport News.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia A Seward (Byard) of Newport News; her son, Christopher A Gillis (Sharon) of Hampton; and her long-time companion, Robert Fulcher of Newport News.
Miss Allen's family would like to thank the staff of Commonwealth Senior Living-Hampton and Medi Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for their mother.
The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm Wednesday, November 12th in Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home; A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 13th at 2pm in The Chapel of Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with the graveside service at 3pm at Parklawn Memorial Park in the Garden of Prayer, by the Rev. Paulette Almond.
