Daddy, I'm sorry I didn't get to wish you a Merry Christmas or a Happy Anniversary. I hope you and Mom enjoyed it together. We did the best we could without you, but it was just not right. I miss you so much and I love you.

Daddy, please make sure you and everyone else already up there give Mama a good birthday. I know that since you are all in the best place possible and no longer sick or in pain, you can all celebrate the way you used to. I just wish that we could celebrate with you, instead of grieving. We feel left out, to say the least. Make Mama happy today, for me, for us.

Like I told Mama, today was our first holiday without the two of you and it was all wrong.  We need no more proof that our lives will never be the same again until the day comes that we are all together again, and when that day comes, it will be the best day ever because we will never be parted again. Until then, we just have to wait and do the best we can. I miss you and love you Daddy.

It's been a month today since you left, but it still feels like it's only been a few days. I don't feel like my heart is broken, I feel like it's gone. I miss you more and more every day, It kills me to think of all the things you won't be here to share with us, you left just before so many important milestones in our family. But you will be there in another way and I hope we will take comfort in that and it will make things a little more bearable. Not an hour goes by that I don't think of you and miss you, Daddy. I love you so much.

Shirley, I remember you from former days when you were my hairdresser. I remember how proud you were of Paul and your family. I know how your heart is breaking because I lost Bob in May. I just know that God is the source of my strength and He is there for each of you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Paul, over time you filled so much in all of us and we all are living proof, that although your darkest hour come His light stills shine through. Keep watch over all of us as you did when you were here. I love you and will miss your distinctive humbleness around us all even when you may have been in pain. As you know, I always felt so close to Paul.  I could always count on him to do whatever task needed done.  I developed a friendship over the years with the whole family after Paul became sick.  The faithfulness of you and the girls to back Paul up was unbelievable and a real testament to the word "Family".  I think you all are such a fine family, always looking after each other.  It was evident in your work ethic.  

I'm so glad you all stopped long enough to take that cruise you always wanted to take!  What wonderful memories!  Something to cherish forever!

Dear Shirley, Sheila, Paula and Debra, Bill and I want you to know that you are all in our prayers and thoughts.  I'm sure that Paul is in a better place where he is no longer suffering.  

I remember you girls growing up with my Tim and Traci. 

Shirley, I also remember how we all used to go to dances and then to the Starlight restaurant for breakfast.  We had so much fun.

I also remember the trip we took to Myrtle Beach together.  That was quite an adventure for all of us.  I still have pictures of us on the beach.  Boy, did we look good!!! 

And of course, the bowling.  Paul and David took it so seriously but Shirley and I didn't.  We tried to just have a good time.  

Just a few of my memories of Paul and his family.

No words could possibly explain all that you mean to me, Granddad.  There was never a dull moment around you.
