Peter Watson, of Newport News VA, passed away on March 21, 2026. He was born on November 14, 1945 in Gloucester England to Ernest and Ethel Watson. He was welcomed by his brother Robert and followed by brothers Timothy, Darrell and Keith.
He fought in Vietnam during the TET offensive and completed a full career in the United States Army, retiring as MSG. Following his career he served in Civil Service for 25 years. He became a born again Christian singing in two choirs, teaching Sunday school and engaging with members of Coastal Church in Yorktown VA, until his health prevented his attendance.
He is predeceased by his parents and his brothers Robert and Timothy.
Peter is survived by his wife Martha and son Ian (April) and his brothers Darrell and Keith.
A visitation will take place on Saturday March 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park in the chapel mausoleum followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM with a committal immediately following.
In lieu of flowers the family asked that a memorial contribution be made to Coastal Church in Yorktown VA.
