Ramon Gutierrez, Jr., 53, passed away on Friday evening, July 29, 2011. He was a native of El Paso, Texas and was resident of Hampton. He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force, receiving numerous awards and decorations, retiring after 20 years in 1996. After retirement, he worked as a Quality Control Technician for Howmet Casting, Alcoa. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
Ramon is survived by his wife of 22 years, Su Gutierrez; his son Ramon Gutierrez III; his daughter Priscilla Cruz and many family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 11:00 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2150 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton. Interment with U.S. Air Force honors will follow in Hampton Veterans Memorial Gardens.
