Regina Carol Norwood Dotson, age 58 of Hampton, VA, went home to Jesus on September 12, 2020.

Regina was born September 17, 1961 in Hampton, VA to parents, Glenn Olive Norwood and Margaret M. Norwood also of Hampton, VA. She grew up in Hampton alongside her sister, Anita Norwood (Church) and graduated from Hampton High School in 1979.

Regina went on to pursue an early career at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News, VA. Helping others around her was always a part of her servant heart. She later went on the manage a family owned used car business that serviced the Hampton Roads Area for more than 22 years; Dotson Auto Center.

She devoted herself to her family. Those who knew her loved her contagious smile and upbeat personality. Regina continually looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren, loved ones, friends, and often was the life of the party! She has an undeniable affection for the water. She enjoyed spending time on the Chesapeake Bay as well as the backwaters of Florida. She could often be seen early in the morning sitting around the fire pit at Kissimmee River Park and Marina where she enjoyed spending time with the Lord; praying and reading her Bible or riding in her golf cart with her husband, two poodles, and spending time with all of her dear friends at Kissimmee River Park and Marina! She also enjoyed her jewelry, shopping, great music, dancing, hair styles, and southern cooking!

Regina leaves to cherish, a loving Husband of 22 years, Robert R. Dotson, Jr; her three children, Glenn A. Wood, Jennifer R. Woody (Chris) and Michael B. Wood (Ashleigh); a sister, Anita N. Church (Greg); Stepsons, Christopher A. Dotson Sr. (Karen) and Robert R. Dotson III (Manon); her beloved grandchildren, Carli, Landen, Tyler, Jayden, Aubrey, Lilley, Kendall, Kylie, and Christopher; as well as many loving family members and friends.

To my family and friends: “God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand his wisdom, but we simply have to trust his will” PSALM 37:5

The family is receiving flowers at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home on Sunday, September 20th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. A private memorial service will be held with the family and close friends.

Regina was such a beautiful young lady who had a heart of gold. I have never saw her in a bad mood even when she did not feel good. She was always smiling, and happy go lucky every time you saw her. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. My condolences to the family and I will be praying 🙏🙏 for y'all in this difficult time. God bless you all.
