Reta Christine Dyer

Those she loved who preceded her in death include her husband, Edward Dyer; her mother, Mary Christine Compton Thayer; her father, Reid L. Shipley; and her granddaughter, Tawney Lynn Aikens.

Those she loved who carry her memory forward include Carrie Christine Gibson, James Gibson, David Dyer, Misty Dyer, Ashley Dyer, Brittney Steckman, and Brittney and Ashley’s children, as well as her first husband and lifelong friend, Gary Moss, his family, and many friends.

Reta loved writing, her garden, her music, her home, the animals she cared for, and above all, her family. She loved deeply and protected fiercely. Her quiet strength and perseverance carried her through difficult times with grace. She found joy and peace in the beauty of everyday life. She was a devoted mother, a generous friend, a warm grandmother, and a loving wife. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
