Richard Allen Brock

Richard Allen Brock, 80, passed away on September 5th, 2024 after struggling with Parkinson's Disease for several years. He served in the US Army for 3 years with one year stationed in Korea.He attained the rate of E-5 prior to his discharge.

Richard worked for several years at Thompson Ford as a new car salesman & then as manager of the vehicle rental & leasing. Later he worked for Carpet Gallery & Floor Traders. He & his wife, Joyce loved to travel & Cruise. They spent 3 years in Bermuda working for his mother's brother, Henry Dallas. He also had a short stint as rental car manager for Enterprise Car Rental in Atlanta, GA.

Richard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Joyce, sister-in-law, Sherrie Gardner;Brother-in-law, Larry McKinney;sister-in-law, Debby Whitmore; niece, Kimmie Hall (David); other nieces & nephews.and a very close friend of over 50 years, Bill Reynolds & his wife, Sue. He was preceded in death by his mother & step-father, Dorothy & Julius Divers;his mother-in-law, Edith Parham & special sister-in-law, Donna Gardner.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 12th at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton, VA at 3:00 PM officiated By Pastor Joe Hunt of Liberty Baptist.
