Richard Gerald Dore

Jerry retired in the late 1990's from the Carpenter Union Local 613. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. and was a member of various Masonic Lodges including Monitor Lodge #197; VFW Lodge Post 3219 of Phoebus; and the Hampton Elk Club #366. He was also a member of the Old Virginia Hunt Club in Brunswick County.

Jerry was preceded in rest by his wife, Barbara Gills Dore. He is survived by his son, Matt Dore and wife, Michelle; daughter, Dana Holland; grandchildren, Jacob Dore, Bailey and Aidan Holland; sister, Joyce Sgavicchio; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, September 3 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 4 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
