Richard Waldemar Wagner

Richard Waldemar Wagner passed away November 25, 2018. He was born on December 11, 1931 in North Braddock, Pennsylvania to the late Frederick W. and Maria Wagner. He was a graduate of Plum High School. Upon graduation he joined the US Navy where he served for four years. It was during this time he met the love of his life, June Carolyn Bookman, who he married after knowing her for just three months. They were married for 62 years, before she passed. He retired from Bell Atlantic Telephone Company after 38 years and enjoyed his retirement with family. Richard is survived by his brother, Robert “Bobby” Wagner of New Kensington, PA. His four daughters, Cheryl Wagner Engebretson (Scott), Linda Wagner Hanson (Mike), Carol Wagner Johnson, and Kimberly Wagner Murden (Fred) will miss him dearly. He was Gramps to six grandchildren, Robert Edward Morgan, III, who preceded him in death, Stephen McKinley Morgan (Rene), Jonathan Paul Skalski, Matthew Thomas Skalski (Judy), Zachary Lee Murden and Catherine Elizabeth Murden, along with great-grandchildren, Caroline Harper Skalski, Charlie Quinn Morgan, and Jack Lambert Skalski. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Kapusta and brothers, Frederick Wagner, and Clifford Wagner. Service and interment will be private. The family would like to thank Medi Home Health and Hospice for guiding them through his care the last few weeks of his life.
