Rita F. McCabe, age 76, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2010. She was a native of Powhatan Point, Ohio and a resident of Hampton since 1970. Mrs. McCabe was an elementary school teacher for the City of Hampton and retired after 25 years of service. She was a member of First United Methodist Church-Foxhill.
Rita is preceded in rest by her husband, John H. McCabe, Jr. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Sherrie Dezern and her husband, Ron; sons, Curt McCabe and his wife, Susie, and Glenn McCabe and his wife, Peggy; 8 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 15, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Parklawn¬-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Rita's life will Tuesday, February 16 at 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
