

Bob was born on November 30, 1950 in Montague, Massachusetts and raised by Earl and Cecile Brunelle, until he joined the United States Air Force in 1969 and served his country as an aircraft electrician for four years. After his time in the military, Bob developed his career with Bay Electric and worked diligently as a project manager and master electrician, before eventually retiring in 2013.
Bob married the love of his life, Janet, in 1978, and they eventually raised their own family of two sons, five grandchildren, and even a great grandchild. All of whom he deeply loved and cherished.
In his spare time, Bob enjoyed baseball and cruising. He loved to work in his yard to keep it in tip-top shape, and he was an enthusiastic member of the Bent Barrel Hunt Club.
Bob is survived by his wife, Janet Brunelle, and his sons: Johnny (Patricia) Brunelle of Hampton, Virginia and Thomas (Cristi) Brunelle of Newport News, Virginia. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashlynn, Chantz, Braydon, Caddrick, and Kennedy; his great grandchild, Vera; his sister, Lucille Brunelle of Gloucester, Virginia; his brother, Ronald (Sunny) Brunelle of Nevada; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Earl and Cecile Brunelle, and his sister, Christine Richotte.
Bob will be deeply missed by his friends and family. May he rest in peace.
A graveside service will be held in Bob’s honor on Friday, October 9, 2026 at 11:00 am, at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666.
