IN THE CARE OF
Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home & Memorial Park
Robert Craig Bukovich was born May 26, 1961 in Hampton, Virginia. He died peacefully, though unexpectedly, May 23, 2018. Craig was the son of Harry Robert Bukovich, (Fuzzy). He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Helen Pittman Bukovich. He was the brother of Julie Bukovich Roberts and uncle to Brett Wayne Roberts. He is survived by his paternal aunt, Mrs. Johnnie Robinson, his maternal aunt and uncle, Nira and Warren Brushwood and by Mrs. Betty Pittman.
Craig attended Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, Virginia. Craig trained at the Newport News Shipbuilding Machine Shop and later worked at Micro Craft, Collins Machine Work, and Eagle Aviation. He currently was employed at Cheatam Annex and specialized in rapid prototyping.
Craig was an accomplished machinist, who loved restoring cars. His greatest project was in the rebuilding and restoring of his 1966 GTO. He won several awards at car shows for the restoration of this vehicle.
Craig will be remembered by his friends for his infectious laugh and for living life at 100 miles an hour. Craig had a constant companion Ted, a rambunctious Dachshund that accompanied him on drives on his Harley. Craig will be sorely missed.
A celebration of Craig’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 99 E. Mercury Boulevard, Hampton, Virginia 23669.
