Robert P. (Bob) Davis took his final journey home in the early hours of October 3, 2021. Bob lived a full life of faithfulness to God, to his wife Donna, to his three sons and their spouses, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He was active in many forms of church service, from singing to teaching to various leadership roles, each of which he gave energy and heartfelt devotion. Born in Fayetteville, NC, on October 21 1935, to Coy and Alma Davis, Bob completed high school at Emmanuel College in Royston, GA. then moved to the Virginia Peninsula and attended the apprentice program at NASA Langley Research Center, where he worked until retirement.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings. Bob and Donna were married for 59 years until her passing in 2016, living in Hampton, VA and most recently at The Devonshire Senior Living Center in Hampton. They have three sons: Robert Chris (and Nancy) of Hampton, with their children Christina and Angela; Dr. Donald Mark (and Chris) of Costa Mesa, CA, with their children Mickey, Luke, Nic, and Abigail; and Perry French (and Nancy) of Lake County, FL, with their children Perry, Jessica, Cody, and Tabitha.
Bob will be remembered for his sparkling tenor voice, his quick wit, and his utter devotion to family, church and friends.
A service celebrating the hope that we have in the resurrection will be held on Wednesday, October 13, at 1:00 PM at Warwick Assembly of God Church, 1228 Todds Lane, Hampton VA. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be directed to the ministries of Warwick Assembly of God Church.
