

His career path included being an auto mechanic, owner and operator of a T.V. repair business, and working for the Central Intelligence Agency where he retired in 1994 after 15 years of service. He was a member of the Baptist faith. His hobbies included fresh and saltwater fishing, gardening, cooking, and internet surfing. His interests lead him to be a member of the Ham Radio Club, and the Mercedes Benz Club of America.
Preceding him in rest are his parents, William Francis Mills, Sr. and Emma Hall Mills; brothers, William F. Mills, Jr., Donald E. Mills, and Henry H. Mills; and sister, Betsy Mills McRae. Surviving members of his family include his wife of 43 years, Audrey Johnson Mills; their daughter, Sabrina L. Mills; son, Irving F. Mills; daughters, Ione B. Armstrong and husband Terry, Angelia B. Mills, and Deborah M. Mills; grandchildren, Monique Armstrong and Vania Mays; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Janiya, and Jade Mays; sisters, Lorraine M. Jennings, Rosemary Mills Massey, Sadie Mills, and Ellen Mills Lewis.
The family will receive friends Friday, October 7, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, October 8, at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home with Bishop George E. Rouser presiding. Interment will be Monday, October 10, at 1:00 PM in Parklawn Memorial Park.
