Robert K. Sleeper

Robert Sleeper was an avid believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Northampton Presbyterian Church in Hampton, Virginia, for the duration of the life of the church. He served as Clerk of the Session, as Elder and Sunday School teacher for many years. Robert also had a long career as an engineer at NASA during an historic time.

He was a very kind man, a faithful husband, a loving and beloved father, a grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his two daughters, Cindy Sleeper Gambill with husband Patrick D. Gambill, and Suzanne Macecevic with husband William A. Macecevic (Bill). There are grandchildren -- Charlotte Shepard with husband Matthew Shepard, Morgan Gargaro with husband John Gargaro, Rachel Alonso with husband James Alonso, William Macecevic with wife Courtney Macecvic and Olivia Macecevic. There are great grandchildren -- Dorsey Goins, Lauren Gargaro, John (Trey) Gargaro, Salem Macecevic, Alice Gargaro, Julian Gargaro, Adelaide Alonso and Talitha Alonso.

He was a great example of faith and steadfastness in God and was passionate that the world would know Jesus Christ as Lord.

An entombment for Robert will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Parklawn Memorial Park, 2551 N Armistead Ave., Hampton VA 23666.
