Born September 12, 1942, in Newport News, Virginia, Rosetta graduated from Huntington High School and continued on to receive a Bachelor of Arts, a Master of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Kansas State University.
She worked as a professor teaching collegiate mathematics for Hampton Institute and later worked closely with the aerospace industry in logistics. In 1986, Rosetta later founded REMSA Inc, a technical and professional services firm in Hampton, Virginia. She loved animals and enjoyed traveling, gardening and practicing yoga. She was also actively involved in the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
Rosetta is survived by her foster parents, brother, sister, three sons, three granddaughters and beloved pets.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
