Russell retired from the U.S. Air Force. He will be remembered for his love of God, family, and the Oklahoma farmlands.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sherry Bennett; sister, D'Esta Hoover (Donald); sons, Russell Edward Bennett (Vivian), Duff Eakes, and Ernie Eakes; step-daughters, Melody Doggett and Jackie Orange; grandchildren, Craig Hall, Heinrich Jimenez, Shayne Murphy, and Russell E. Bennett, Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Elijha Murphy and Elena Murphy.
A celebration of Russell's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 13 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home with Donald Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens.
