Ruth Melton Frazier

Ruth Melton Frazier, 102, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2017. She was born in Randolph County (Shellman), Georgia and was a resident of Newport News for 75 years. Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church in Newport News. In her younger years Ruth enjoyed oil painting and later on took an interest in dolls, jumble word puzzles, and a deep love for her grandchildren.

Ruth was preceded in rest by her husband, William Benjamin Frazier and son, Wayne Melton Frazier. She is survived by her son, Reginald Frazier (Alicia) and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Ruth’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday August 29, 2017 at Grace River Church, 5045 Indian River Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23464 with a reception to follow at the residence of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be offered to The Christian Broadcasting Network, 977 Centerville Turnpike, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23463.
