Sarah Elizabeth Smith

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Lee E. Smith. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Thomas L. Smith (Beverley), Anne Pulliam (Billy), and Nancy Harris (Byrd); grandchildren, Susan Rabinowitz (Paul), Sharon Seward (Richard), and Amy Hoyt (Rick); and great-grandchildren, Holden Seward, Elizabeth Seward, and Sadie Hoyt.

Sarah was active in her church, Ivy Memorial Baptist in Hampton, before moving to Williamsburg to live with her children. Her final days were spent at Riverside Convalescent Center in West Point, VA. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff and caregivers for their loving care of our mother.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sarah's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013, at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a celebration of her life to begin at 2:00. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
