ShaRhonda R. Nickelson

She is survived by her husband Marco, Kennedi, Cameron, Mar'Quis, Semyah, Micah, and Evan. John Richardson, Jr. (Mary) - Grandfather. She was preceded in death by Mary Richardson and Lenora Cooper. Also, Reva, Pamela (Kenneth), Joana (Lathan), Angie, Jodie (Aunts), Preston (Lena), Chris, and Micheal (Alita) (Uncles). Marquisha Matthew - step sister and Duncan - step brother. Also, an extensive number of cousins and close friends.

She was born in Richmond, VA on April 16, 1974 to Zachary Cooper (Sharon) and Linda Washington (Gregory). She graduated from Huguenot High School in 1993 and went on to attend Virginia Union University from 1993 up to 1996; where she studied music theory. She was a faithful employee to DCSE agency and newly employed with Old Dominion University in a financial capacity over 20+ years.

She was a member of First Baptist, The Mount, and Waters Edge church. She was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority; Nu Chapter. She was also a member of Veterans Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed fellowship, helping others, providing reputable resources and guidance. In her spare time she enjoyed walking the beach, bowling, laughing with family, attending various sporting as well as music events, cooking, baking, and being a tourist of any place she visited. She is remembered for watching westerns (Bang Bang), her crazy laugh, warm hugs, beautiful smiles, glowing personality, and genuine love.

A visitation for ShaRhonda will be held Friday, August 2, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, Virginia 23666. A celebration of life service will occur Monday, August 5, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home.
