She was born in West Virginia and has been a resident of Hampton, Virginia for the past 55 years. She has been a faithful, active member of Maranatha Baptist Church for the past 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Her greatest passions in life were taking care of and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters and great-grandsons, going to the drag races and working in her beautiful flower beds. Proverbs 31:10 says, "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." She was definitely a precious jewel, she never met a person who didn't immediately adore her and she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Billie M. Weaver and Geraldine C. Weaver. Left to cherish her memory is her lifelong Sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Henry "Bud" Smith; daughter, Tina Gravely (Jeff) of Hampton; son, Henry "Preston" Smith (Dina) of Hampton; 3 granddaughters: Heather Trinkle (Shaun) of Harker Heights, TX; Lindsey Moore (Jarmon "Scott") of Poquoson; and Molly Gravely of Hampton; 3 great-grandsons: Bradley, Wyatt and soon to be, Baby Moore; her sister, Billie "Jean" Dudley (Henry) of Chesapeake and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
