From the moment I met Ms. Susie, I knew she was a special person. She loved her family and friends and doted on her granddaughter, Aubreigh. She was a source of encouragement, support, and a good laugh, even while working through problems of her own. I will miss her terribly, but I am especially grateful that she is no longer suffering. I extend my deepest sympathies to the family and hope their best memories comfort them at this time.

I met Susan in 1983 at Chicago State University and she became my Big sister instantaneously. She made me Kandi’s Godmother a role that I don’t take lightly, and just loved her and Paul Nydia dearly. She was a true friend, who reminded me hoe much she and God loved me on a regular basis. She loved her children and her friends dearly and was no question you felt it in her presence, hearing her voice it was evident how much you meant to her. Susan your beautiful loving spirit and lessons on friendship and sisterhood that I shared with you and Missy (Charmaine) will never be forgotten , it was a honor to be your little Sis and I got Kandi as her Godmother and Paul and Nadi as Auntie forever❤️ Gone but never ever forgotten always in my heart love you Sis ...........

When I was an infant and Suzie was 3, years old, she came to see my mom, on her own, as we lived in the apartment below Suzie and her family.
She asked my mom if she could put her baby away so they could talk.
From that day forward Suzie and my mom formed a close and special bond.
Suzie was loving, caring, outgoing and determined.
She loved those she surrounded herself with, and whatever she put her mind to, nothing could stop her.
Much love to Paul, Kandi and Nadia. Your mom is with you still.

My Sister is at peace, able to share her tremendous ability to love with the universe. I know that she is receiving a rousing welcome from the ancestors, but most of all she heard the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” My Sis is safe in the Arms of Jesus.

I love you and will carry you in my heart each and everyday of my life.
