Again - here is the obituary from the Daily Press

Theresa Marie Moyer, 54

Theresa died of cancer and pneumonia on September 8, 2018. Theresa was born on October 8. 1963 in Great Falls, Montana to Anne and Len Moyer. She lived most of her life in Newport News, Williamsburg, and Hampton, Virginia. Theresa graduated from Hampton high school. During her last two years she lived in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania. Theresa was preceded in death by her mother Anne Marie Anderson Moyer. She is survived by her sister Ellen Lee and brother-in-law Joe Lee, her brother Chris Moyer, sister-in-law Teresa Moyer, her father Len Moyer, her step-mom Jessica Moyer, nieces and a nephew. She had many friends including Teresa Ward who offered her loving hospice and care during her last few days of her life along with several of Theresa’s other friends.

Theresa has always been a very loving person; one of her favorite songs was “You Are My Sunshine” sung to her nieces and nephew - her nephew nicknamed her Sunshine…..the family name stuck as she brought sunshine into many peoples lives. Theresa loved music and good times with her friends. Theresa was a strong Viking from her Scandinavian heritage and preferred to do work usually done by men including manual labor and tree service. She paid for her hard working life with back problems that bothered her the last several years of her life and limited her ability to work. She will be sorely missed by many people. She has been cremated and her ashes will be distributed according to her wishes. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.

I am so saddened to hear of Theresa’s passing. She and I were best of friends when I was a little girl. There were three of us: Lauren, Theresa, and me. We were never too far apart until I moved in 1973. I missed her so much that after I moved, my parents had her visit for a week! I’m not sure when we drifted apart, but I think we stayed in touch until high school. She was definitely a source of sunshine and happiness. We played Barbies, rode bikes together, pestered Ellen (a lot!) and giggled about everything. She loved coming over for spaghetti! That girl could eat some spaghetti and meat sauce! I know that she will be sorely missed. My condolences to her family and loved ones.

My condolences go out to Theresa and the Moyer family. Theresa was "Little Miss Sunshine" of our neighborhood in Newport News, VA. She was friends with my younger sisters and I babysat for the Moyer family in my teen years. There are so many fond memories of her, her family and our family. Rest in peace, "sunshine".
