Thomas E. Satterthwaite, Sr. 67, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2011 at home. He was a native of Roper, NC and a Hampton resident for 32 years. Thomas retired from Smithfield Packing as a truck driver in 2005.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dora; his sons, Thomas, Jr. (Jessica) and Andre; grandchildren Thomas, Ella and Trent; a brother, Willie; two sisters, Delores and Christine (Alonzo); goddaughter, Shavawn; and special brother, “Shane”.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 9 from 10 a.m. until time of service. A celebration of Thomas’s life will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Cynthia Vaughan. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
