She was preceded in death by John Edward Lane Jr., the love of her life, her parents Lieutenant Colonel Roy and Janelle Tucker and by her grandchildren, Carter and Silas Cameron.
Trudy is lovingly survived by her children Jennifer Cameron, (Jon Cameron), John Edward Lane III, Janelle Strickland, and Julie Wagner, (Steve Wagner); and by her cherished grandchildren Chelsea Dryden (Jacob Dryden), Jon Cameron, Hailey Cameron, Andrew Strickland, Eli Strickland, Lauren Strickland, Zachary Wagner, Zoe Wagner, Zane Wagner, Zadie Wagner, Ezekiel Wagner, Zayden Wagner, Ezra Wagner, and Boaz Wagner; and great grandchildren: Emilia and Lydia Dryden and her brother Tommy Tucker (Linda Tucker).
Her joyful spirit shined the brightest whenever she was with her family. Whether it was getting down in the floor playing Uno or Go Fish with her grandchildren, or dancing in the middle of the kitchen with her husband, playing tennis, line dancing, listening to live music or playing the piano, she poured herself into her family filling her home with laughter and light.
Though her presence was quieter than her husband’s famously loud personality, Trudy was larger than life in her own quiet way. She was strong, relentless, and unwavering in her love and support. Her legacy of being the greatest cheerleader for her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A graveside service for Trudy will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Parklawn Memorial Park Location, 2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666.
