He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2006 after a 20 year career.
He was preceded in death by his father, Zollie Silver. He is survived by his mother, Betty R. Silver; sisters, Delores Silver of Warrenton. NC, and Brenda S. Robinson of Rocky Mt., NC; brother, Vincent L. Silver of Nashville, NC; nephews, Derrick Silver and wife, Hope of Richmond and Jermaine Robinson of Clinton, NC; and nieces, Lauren, Chasidy, and Myranda.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A celebration of Bernard’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 13, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park.
