She was a member and very active in the church activities of First United Methodist Church, Fox Hill in Hampton. For many years she was the church organist.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifton “Billy” Thomas; parents, Claude and Henrietta Guy. Surviving members of her family include her daughters, Brenda T. Watson and husband Hugh, and Carol T. McLane and husband Doug; grandchildren, Frank Dudley, Cindy Dudley, and Jennifer McLane.
A celebration of Virginia's life will be held Wednesday, November 3, at 11:00 AM at Parklawn – Wood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
