Vonza Ferguson Tugwell of Newport News, VA transitioned peacefully on February 17, 2019, at the age of 81. Born in Neon, Kentucky, November 26, 1937 to the late Talbot and Calvie Ferguson, as the youngest of 4 children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Herbert “Frank” Tugwell, brothers Emerson Ferguson, Alfred “Herky” Ferguson and one sister, Martha L. Morgan.
She is survived by her children, Donna G. Cheatham, of Newport News and John Tugwell, his fiancé Andrea Dalessio of Gloucester, VA., 3 grandchildren: Brittany Cheatham, Lauren Cheatham and Rachel Cheatham.
The graveside service will be Friday, February 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum Chapel at Parklawn-Memorial Park in Hampton, VA. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
