Wallace Dale Lovell

Wallace “Dale” Lovell, 61, passed away on November 19, 2018 at home. Born on February 18, 1957 in Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Earl and Virginia Lovell, Dale was a lifelong Peninsula resident, Army veteran and avid chess player. He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Peters; one brother, Ernie Lovell; and his loving wife of 23 years, Alma “Gail” Lovell. Left to cherish his memories are one daughter, Virginia Lovell of Newport News; four brothers and sisters, Brenda (Jim) Villa of Lathrop, California, Douglas Lovell of Columbus, Ohio, Ralph (Nancy) Lovell of Manassas, Virginia, and Diane Lovell of Newport News; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Wallace's life will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Celebrant Bert Rait officiating.
