Wallace “Dale” Lovell, 61, passed away on November 19, 2018 at home. Born on February 18, 1957 in Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Earl and Virginia Lovell, Dale was a lifelong Peninsula resident, Army veteran and avid chess player.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Peters; one brother, Ernie Lovell; and his loving wife of 23 years, Alma “Gail” Lovell. Left to cherish his memories are one daughter, Virginia Lovell of Newport News; four brothers and sisters, Brenda (Jim) Villa of Lathrop, California, Douglas Lovell of Columbus, Ohio, Ralph (Nancy) Lovell of Manassas, Virginia, and Diane Lovell of Newport News; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Wallace's life will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Celebrant Bert Rait officiating.
