Wendell Corey Rogers

He deeply loved his family, classic rock, NASCAR along with other car races, cooking, baking, traveling, and especially fishing for his favorite seafood.

Wendell worked most of his career as a heating and air conditioner technician, a career he enjoyed for over 30 years. After his retirement he decided to get into the landscaping business.

He is preceded in death by his partner Sharron Haynes, on November 14, 2025, his mother Virginia, and father Millard Rogers. He is also predeceased by his brother Louis Wayne, Bryan Keith Rogers, and sister Tina Rogers.

He leaves behind to mourn, his son Corey Rogers, and his 4 legged daughter “Baby Jane”, his former spouse and special friend, Lisa Kearney, his brothers Gregory Rogers (Kelly), sisters Helen Jenkins, Mitzi Barnes (Gray) and Cheryl Masters (Kenny), along with several nieces and nephews.

We will dearly miss his warm smiles, kind heart, sense of humor, and strong convictions.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday June 30, 2026 from 1 PM to 2 PM at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home, located at 2551 N. Armistead Ave, Hampton VA 23666, followed immediately by a funeral service at 2 PM. A committal ceremony will take place at 3 PM at Hampton Memorial Gardens, located at 155 Butler Farm Road, Hampton VA 23666.
