William was a lifelong member of Memorial Baptist Church serving as one of the Deacons.
He was an avid Chevy car enthusiast and a die hard Washington football fan and New York Yankees fan. William loved to travel.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Sandra Carol Wade with whom he shared 53 years of marriage.
Left to cherish his memory are daughters, Wendy Dickens (Charles) of Tennessee, Kim Hopkins (Mark) of Virginia, Jennifer Wade (Brian Eadie) of Georgia; grandchildren Mark Ryan Hopkins, Brittany Davison, Chase Dickens; three great grandchildren and beloved furry friend Charlie.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Memorial Baptist Church 324 Newport News Ave Hampton, VA 23669. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
