He was preceded in death by his parents, William E. Walters and Naomi Ivey. He is survived by his wife Edna R. Walters, three children, Rickey Walters and wife, Debi, Mike Walters and wife Terri, Renee Joyner and husband, James Joyner; six grandchildren, Jimmy, Kelly, Dana, Kyle, Becca and Benjamin; three step-children, Gilbert, Connie and Diane; eight-step grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, with a service to follow at 2 pm. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
