

HAMPTON – William H. Weber Jr., 82, a 48 year resident of Hampton, died at Sentara Careplex in Hampton on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. He was a retired 20 year MSGT in the U.S. Army where he served multiple tours overseas including Korea and Vietnam where he earned a bronze star. After retiring to Hampton, he worked for 8 years at Hampton General Hospital as an accountant. He was an avid fisherman, bowler, gardener and loved to play carnival games.
Preceded in death by both parents William H. Weber Sr and Clara A. Beyerlein, he is survived by his wife of 62 years Marian I. Weber; a daughter Patricia Ann and husband Robert Hayden; 3 sons and their wives, Ronald and Winona (Wyn), William H. Weber III and Natalie, Russell and Tari and son William R. Weber; 7 grandchildren, Ronald Weber II, David, Nicholas, Dylan Weber, Ricky (Skipper), Daniel, and Elizabeth (Beth) Hayden; and 6 great-grandchildren, Kara and Logan Weber, Benjamin, Caitlynn, Liam and Lily Hayden; and 7 sisters, Elizabeth (Libby) League, Georgia Lee Jarman, Catherine Matthews, Joyce Shipley, Phyllis Tilkins, Barbara Ruch, and Joan Adams.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, July 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home. A chapel service will be on Monday, July 29 at 11:30 am, followed by interment with military graveside honors in Parklawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow at 60 Hampton Roads Avenue.
