When I joined the choir at my new church, Immaculate Conception, Bill was seated in back of me and was one of the friendliest of the male singers. He was also the most "dapper" as I would often tell him when he was in his "Sunday best". He was always so thoughtful of everyone else and concerned, up till the end, about my family situation. I thought the world of "Mr. Bill" (as I called him)and I am so glad that I could see him at the hospital. I know that he will be waiting to greet my father soon and that is a comforting thought for me; he will welcome him as he greeted me to my new church and they will sing together in the heavenly choir. I will never forget you Mr. Bill.

Richard and Catherine knew Bill at Immaculate Conception Church. Richard first met Bill in the choir.
After leaving the choir, Richard would always make a point to go up to Bill and chat with him.
Richard enjoy visiting with him. We enjoyed Bill's phone message of "You reach the White house, Bill can not come to the phone".
When Bill first had his cancer, Richard started praying for him and has continued till now.
Richard visted Bill on the 15th of March in the hospital.
Bill was kind, loving and one of the nicest person we knnew.
He will be missed.

Uncle Bill, your smile is gone forever, and your hands we cannot touch. We will have many memories, of the uncle we loved so much. Your memory is our keepsake, which we'll never part. God has you in his keeping, we have you in our heart.

We light this candle in your memory.

To the family and friends of William H. White,
Though saddened to hear of his passing, we are grateful to God that we were privileged to know and love Bill here in Gary, Indiana, and especially at SS. Monica & Luke Catholic Church. We are also confident that God will grant eternal rest to such an outstanding Catholic Christian gentleman, who never met a stranger and who always offered a helping hand. And we pray that you will receive the consolation only God can give.
Blessed are those who have died in the Lord; let them rest from their labors for their good deeds go with them. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.
May the peace of God, which is beyond all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God and of his Son, our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the Lord bless the family during this period of saddness. Uncle Bill surely fought the good fight and kept the faith. May we all be inspired and encouraged.
