Amando is survived by his children, Haydee Capili, Ariel De Jesus, Gina Khubchandani, Joel De Jesus, Noel De Jesus, and Laarni De Jesus; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Amando preceded in death by his parents, four siblings, and his wife Soledad De Jesus.
Amando was born on April 11th, 1934 at Olongapo City, Philippines. He was raised in a large family and was the 5th child among 10 siblings. On Feb 3rd, 1957 he married his wife Soledad of 60 years. Together they raised six children. Amando worked at the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility at Subic Bay, Philippines for 33 years, from 1955-1988 and received many promotions and advancements in his position. On April 22nd, 1988 Amando and his family made the decision to leave the Philippines, relocating to the U.S. to better their lives and experienced living in Washington State, Hawaii, San Diego, and Hanford.
Amando was a devoted father and husband. He enjoyed his morning walks, watching his favorite movies by his favorite actor Steven Seagal while holding a can of Budweiser, and eating his favorite snacks such as sunflower seeds, nuts, and popsicles. He made sure that the yard was maintained by sweeping the leaves which was part of his daily exercise. He loved to listen to music by some of his favorite artists such as Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, and Matt Monroe while reading the newspaper. Amando lived a humble and quiet life and these little moments are what he enjoyed most in life. He will be missed by his family and friends who knew him.
