Augustina Gomez Escobar

On October 26, 1938 Augustina was born in Hanford, California to Alfredo and Gabriela Gomez. She married her prince, Herbert Escobar, on February 6, 1959 and together they created a family. Tina was known and loved as a storyteller who infused even ordinary activities with flair and adventure. She was also one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and served Him faithfully throughout her life. This part of her story ended on January 28, 2011 at home in Hanford with her family.

Tina is lovingly remembered by her husband, Herbert Escobar, and their children: Terry and Jeff Gray, Tish and John Barnes, Herbert and Audrey Escobar, and John and Vera Escobar. Her story also included four grandchildren: Sarah Gray, Brad and Shelby Barnes, and Joanna Escobar.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 9 – 11 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty St., Hanford, CA. Burial will follow at Hanford Cemetery.
