

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Barbara was a longtime believer and follower of the Bahá'í Faith. As a 3rd generation American Bahá'í, Barbara is beloved by many and has a special place in the hearts of the local Bahá'í communities where she remained active for as long as she possibly could. Barbara was also always active in her community being involved in Women's Clubs, PTA's, Juniors, Suicide Hotline worker, Homeowner's Associations, Garden Clubs, Community Emergency Response Team, and so forth. Not only did she participate as a member in these organizations, Barbara held leadership positions and presided over several of these organizations. Barbara retired from full-time work at age 72. Most recently Barbara was employed part-time as a librarian at the Kings School.
Barbara was an adventurous soul who with her family would go camping, play tennis, walking, motorcycling, attend sporting events, cookouts, auto racing, car shows, amusement parks, and more. Barbara and her husband of some 60 years, Richard, frequently traveled together to many places home and abroad either on business or pleasure. Barbara had a hand for sewing and needlework creating many wonderful outfits, scarfs, utility items, and afghan throws for family and friends.
Barbara is much loved by her family and friends and will be sorely missed. She is survived by her sons Lance, Richard R, and Randall; grandsons Richard W, Ryan; great grandsons Dylan, Damon, Derek, and twice great grandson Cannon.
