In his early years, his friends and family knew him as “Brother Al”. Albert had a huge smile and a big heart full of kindness that touched the lives of so many. In August 1969, Albert married the love of his life, “the one he prayed and asked God for”, Lois Andrews, to which they became best friends by creating an unbreakable bond for 50 years. With this union, came 9 children and his #1 priority was always, Family! He raised his children and gave them the necessary skills to launch independent businesses. Albert was truly a “Jack of all trades”. From launching and owning several businesses to hosting events and authoring a book, “The Rocker”. Albert graduated from Tulare Union High School and continued his education at the College of Sequoias where he graduated with his Associate’s Degree and began his building profession. In 1979 Albert became an entrepreneur when he obtained his building license from the State of California under “Richardson Construction”. Albert was a Disco Guru and facilitated many musical events throughout Kings, Tulare and Fresno County! He was a Disc Jockey (DJ)/Manager on KAOD & KJOP (1240 am) radio station. He also hosted with his wife Lois, a Gospel radio program entitled “Gospel Chariot”, every Sunday afternoon for many years and a Gospel talk show on the Dinuba radio station.
Albert was raised in the church and in the late 1990’s accepted his calling by Ministering under the leadership of Pastor Carl E. Hayes for several years at Second Baptist Church in Hanford, CA. Over 20 years ago, Albert was selected as the lead Pastor at Saint Paul Baptist Church in Corcoran, CA for 18 years. Albert was also the Fellowship President of churches from Kings and Tulare counties. In 2014, Albert was ordained as a Bishop under the direction of Bishop Willy Higgs from Ripon, CA.
Albert will be deeply missed until we meet again in Heaven, Rest in paradise!
He was preceded in death by his daughter KellyAnn; brothers, William King, Jesse Freeman and James Richardson; his parents James Freeman and Rebecca King and Step-dad Clarence Roscoe.
To continue his legacy, Albert leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty years, Lois Marie Andrews-Richardson (Hanford, CA); Three sons: Albert Richardson II (Hanford, CA); Jeremiah Richardson (Sacramento, CA) and Zealin Richardson (Las Vegas, NV); Six daughters: Tameca Richardson of Atlanta, GA; Teaila Kidd (George) of Hanford, CA; Arzella Barnes (Ryan) of Tulare, CA; LaShauna Hull and Iysis Jones (Marquise) of Hanford, CA and Jessica Richardson of Las Vegas, NV; Seven brothers: Moses King (Angela) of Mesa, AZ; Elijah King (Alice) of Tacoma WA; Thomas Richardson, Glenn Richardson (Diana), and Timothy King (Renee) of Tulare, CA; Fred King (Crystal) of Porterville, CA; and Samuel King (Corliss) of Portland, OR; Three sisters: Eleanor Snowden (Rayvell) of Santa Maria, CA; Betty Robinson (James) of Portland, OR; and Wanda Katepa of San Diego, CA. 19 grandchildren; one aunt, Lula M. Blacksher Coleman of Tulare; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. We loved him, but God loved him best!
