Carla Darlene Proby

Carla was a loving daughter, mother, sister, niece, aunt and friend. She went home to be with God on June 9, 2016. She was born June 5, 1967 and had a great personality. She was born to the union of John William Proby and Alice Mae Proby. She has two siblings Robert Lee Proby (preceded in death in 1965) and Deborah Ann Proby who resides in Hanford, Ca. Carla has one son Christopher Michael Butler, who also resides in Hanford, Ca. She has two nephews Paul Soto Gutierrez, Jr. and Raymond Soto Gutierrez; also she has a god-son Eric Boodoosingh.

Carla was a very friendly and outgoing person that had a spirit that was always on fire. Her heart of gold allowed her to gain many brothers and sisters of the world. She graduated from Hanford High School and later in life, moved to San Jose Ca. Living there for a while she made her way back to Hanford which is where she began her employment history working in the food industry. Just to name a few she worked as a cook at Brooks Ranch, Ryan’s Place, Courthouse Square and The Old Firehouse. Later is where she found her home and career working in Social Services as an Eligibility Worker. She was a faithful church member at New Light Apostolic Temple Church in Lemoore Ca. under Pastor and Uncle Marcell Thomas. In the midst of having the passion for cooking and crocheting, her greatest joy was being a mother to Christopher where he changed her whole life in 1991. When she saw and felt his great change, she took it a step further and was able to get baptized and receive the Holy Ghost. This is where and how she found her peace. She became a member of the church choir and was able to even write her own songs.
