

Charles Frederick Grenier (Pete) passed away on Dec 19, with his loving family by his side. Charles fought a hard battle against brain cancer. Charles is preceded in death by his beautiful daughter Antoinette (Fuzzy) and his precious granddaughter little Katelin Butler and his wonderful grandson David Lee Zigler.
Charles was born to Eva and George Grenier on August 13, 1937 in Providence, RI where he grew up and attended school. Charles furthered his career later in life at Allen Hancock College in Santa Maria, Ca. Amongst his many accomplishments and endeavors Charles often spoke of the time he painted Dwight Eisenhower’s summer home as an apprentice. Charles was also very proud of his tool he invented and patented. Charles went on to become a painting and sandblasting contractor.
He married the love of his life Patricia Bernadette Dean on April 21, 1959 in Providence, RI. As a newly married couple they moved to Nipomo, CA in the summer of 1960. This is where they made their home and started their family. Charles was a mason, a member of the masonic lodge and a Shriner. He will always be remembered for his loving devotion for his family, his very generous kind heart and the many selfless kind acts he showered on so many. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and those who knew him.
Charles is survived by his loving wife Patricia Grenier, his daughter Valerie Sharp and husband Jerry Sharp, his son Charles Frederick Grenier II and wife Ann, his daughter Marie Eva Grenier-Reed and husband Greg Reed, and his daughter Sabrina Grenier. His grandchildren Marissa Sharlene Butler, Jennifer, Charles Frederick III, Amanda, Marlene, John Paul (J.P.), Shawn, Zachary, Katelin, Breanna, Ashley and Haily, and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4th from 5-7p.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel 501 N Douty St. Hanford CA. A Memorial Service will be held on January 5th at St. Brigid’s Catholic Church 200 E Florinda St. Hanford CA at 10a.m. graveside to follow at Lemoore Cemetery. A reception will follow at The Lemoore Fleet Reserve 788 East D Street, Lemoore CA.
