Christine Rose Costa

Christine was born in Hanford, California on June 19, 1918 to Profirio and Maria B. Rose. On December 22, 1939 she married Alfred Costa, Jr. in Hanford, California and they celebrated 57 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on September 11, 1997. Christine enjoyed dancing and family gatherings. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Rose; her sister, Tillie Tullis and by her daughter, Betty Carnley.

Christine leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, David Costa and wife, Mary of Clovis, CA and Richard Costa and wife, Wanda of Visalia, CA; three daughters, Janet Herrod and husband, John of Hanford, Ca, Carolyn Rico and husband, Gilbert of Lemoore, CA and Shirley Alves and husband, Frank of Hanford, CA; one brother, Tony Santos of Chino, CA; two sisters, Angie George of Hanford, Ca and Aldene Couto of Hanford, CA; 20 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2011 at 10 a.m. at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty Street in Hanford, CA. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Hanford, CA
