Curtis Carr Sr.

Curtis was born in Ashtown, Arkansas on August 26, 1930 to John and Savannah Carr. In 1940 he married Anna Mae in Tulare, California.

They moved to Stratford, California in 1951 to make their home. They had six children,Curits, Beverly Ann, Jonnie Mae, Nadine, Billy Joe, and Linda. He joined with Miss Ada Mae Brown until his death.

Curtis had three brothers, James, David and Chester and two sisters, Jonnie Mae and Ada.

He was loved by everyone. Curtis was a quiet man and enjoyed working in his yard. He kept his ride washed and cleaned. Curtis was always there for anyone that needed help. He loved to go fishing and to eat it too. You could find him in the garage listening to his music and playing the lottery or scatchers.

Curtis leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Curtis Carr, Jr.; his brother, Chester and his sister, Ada; six nieces; seven nephews; twenty nine grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and Miss Ada’s three children, Alice, Peachy and Lilian.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Jne 18, 2011 at 12 Noon.
