David Brasher died Saturday April 4th of lung cancer. He was born in Oakland Calif. He grew up in Central City, Nebraska with his grandparents, Cecil and Truman Galusha. At the age of 10 he moved to Sunnyvale, Calif and was adopted by his step-dad, Billy Leon Brasher. In 1967 he graduated from Roosevelt Rhoads High School in Puerto Rico.
He Served in the Navy on the USS Ranger during the Vietnam War and was also stationed at NAS Lemoore. David graduated from Fresno State with a bachelor in AG Science. He was employed by Tulare Co Ag Commissioner’s Office at the time of his death.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah Brasher, his daughter Jessica Brasher Phillips, son-in-law Jason Phillips, granddaughter Abigail Phillips, son David Ruch, mother Phyllis Brasher, brother Billy Leon Brasher Jr.
A graveside service is scheduled for April 9th at 2:30 p.m. at Grangeville Cemetery 10428 14th Ave, Armona, CA.
