Deo Dejuana "Dee Dee" White was born in the Hanford General Hospital on August 16th, 1965 to her parents Samuel Usry Sr. and Verncell Douglas. She entered eternal life peacefully, surrounded by family on February 10th, 2025 at her home in Visalia, CA.
Dee Dee was born and raised in Hanford, CA. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and grandchildren. Growing up she was very close to her aunt Tular McDaniel, and her grandmother Tamon "Gamo" Allen. As a mother and grandmother she was strict yet nurturing, a beacon of resilience and care, she instilled values of family, being a pillar of selflessness, independence, and encouraging her children and family to pursue their education. Her kindness was matched only by her politeness; though she might have kept her feelings close, her actions spoke volumes of her love for everyone around her. She was always ready to assist any family member in need, it was one of her best traits. Throughout her life and ongoing throughout her illness she always put others before herself. Not only was she intelligent but enjoyed having a wide knowledge of music and films that was shown in family vacations she took countless times to Universal Studios, Six Flags, and Disneyland. Creating memories with her family she held dear.
Dee Dee started every morning with a cup of coffee and watching the morning news. She was a rare soul who found joy in her daily routines, never shying away from her responsibilities at work as well. She approached 25 years of service for King's County Child Support Services as a Legal Secretary. She had an unwavering commitment to her family and her work. So much so that her boss would have to ask her to take a couple days off of work at times for her staggering amount of accumulated vacation or sick days.
Dee Dee was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Usry Sr., and her step-father Philip Douglas. She leaves to cherish her memory: Mother, Verncell Douglas; Daughters, Ashley Roddy, Dominique Roddy; Son, Richard G. Thompson; Husband, Larry White; Grandchildren whom she adored immensely, Luis Baeza III, Josiah Gamez, Cecilia "Ray" Roddy, and Hudson Thompson; Siblings: Billy Horn, Tonja Lunnon; nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends knowing they will meet again. She will be truly missed by all who knew her and loved her.
