

She was born on October 10, 1934 in Lemoore to Joe M. and Elvera Camara. She was the only girl with four brothers all of whom are deceased, Clarence, Joe, Frank (her twin) and Lionel. The family moved to Armona in 1943 and she graduated from Hanford High School in 1952.
She married Anthony (Tony) Barba, her high school sweetheart on May 26, 1956 and they recently celebrated their 55th Wedding Anniversary. They made their first home in Hanford and have remained in the Hanford/Armona area ever since. Dolores worked at Security First National Bank (now Union Bank) off and on for a period of 30 years.
She had three children: Ron, married to Chris who have two boys Jerred and Jordan, Cheryl Silva who has two children Eric and Stacey, and Keith who lived at home and was lovingly cared for until his death in April, 2007.
Throughout the years she has been involved in various organizations including the American Cancer Society, Kings Rehabilitation Workshop, Special Olympics, Immaculate Heart of Mary Altar Society and St. Rose McCarthy School.
Dolores leaves behind many family members (Camara's and Barba's ) and friends. She had numerous brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, godchildren and life-long friends.
Dolores will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew her and whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held at People’s Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty Street in Hanford, California on Thursday, August 4, 2011 from 1 – 3 p.m. Rosary will be prayed at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church 10355 Hanford/Armona Road on Thursday, August 4, 2011 at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 5, 2011 at 9 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Hanford. Burial will follow at Lemoore Cemetery.
