Dorothy Jean Ralston Marshall

Dottie was born in Carthage, Missouri on October 11, 1929 to Clyde and Mary Ralston. She moved to Lemoore in 1970 to make her home. As many knew, she was friendly even if she had never met you. She had a special loving gift of giving, helping her family and those in need. Dottie loved to do for others, never expecting anything in return. Nothing was too big for her to handle. Her face always had a glow, her eyes always had a gleam like stars, no matter the situation. Dottie was outgoing, enthusiastic and creative in her own special way. She always gave comfort, understanding, guidance and advise with love and grace. Her patience was a virtue. This is all the definition of Dottie. Her outlets were landscaping, sewing, teaching 4-H and cooking. Dottie had been an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority since 1960 up until the early part of 2000. Dottie was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Jason E.B. Marshall in 1972, her husband, James E. Marshall in 1996 and by her granddaughter, Danielle Leaine Prier in 2002.

Dottie was survived by her daughter, Karyn Marshall Dommer of Lemoore, CA; stepdaughter, Bonnie Marshall Warren and stepson, Scott Marshall, both of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, two of which are Nichole Janeen Monjay of Washington and Savanna Ashlee Dommer of Lemoore, CA and several great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Kenneth Ralson and his wife, Barbara of Bella Vista, AR; her sister, Janice Griffith and husband, Robert of Diamond, MO.

Visitation owas held on Friday, October 8, 2010 from 5 - 8 p.m. at People's Funeral Chapl, 501 N. Douty Street in hanford, CA. Funeral services will be on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford, CA. Burial will follow at Lemoore Cemetery in lemoore, CA.
