

Graduated from Hanford High School went on to attend COS where he also worked as a Bus Driver for the College.
Eddie worked several jobs, until a work injury sent him on a course to become a teacher. He attended Fresno State and received his Master's Degree in Applied Mathematics. His first teaching jobs were at Hanford High School and COS. In 1999 he moved on to work for the Porterville Unified School District teaching at Monache High School Where he made a huge impact on many of his students and in 2018 Eddie joined the Porterville Adult School - helping many to obtain their goals.
Throughout Eddie's career, not only did he teach High School, he taught several college level classes on Lemoore Naval Base at Chapman University, Colombia, and Embry Riddle Aeronautical and was able to teach at Porterville College as well.
Eddie's passion was his wonderful ability to teach others - that Math was a good thing and the numerous ways it could be used and applied in everyday life.
Eddie was married to his wife, Brenda Lee Bittner, for 42 years. Their "children" were all the fur babies that they rescued over the years. Eddie contributing too many he brought home to be cared for and loved.
Eddie is survived by his family - wife Brenda Lee, his best friend ever Kevin "Smitty" Smith, Sister Charlene, and Brother Charles "Chucky" Bittner. Preceding Eddie in death is his Mother Marlene, Father Charles and Brother Victor Bittner.
