

She was born in Madera, California, to Sherrell Irvin Avery and Willard Annie (Arnett) Avery. Edith was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Salyer.
Edith worked in the front office of an optometrist’s office, where she was known for her kindness and warm smile. Beyond her work, she had a passion for painting. Her talent and creativity live on in the many pieces of art cherished by her family and friends, each brushstroke a reflection of her love and spirit.
She is survived by her sister, Laura Mack; her children, Cammy and Doug Affolter, Chad Phelps, and Carla and Matt Tweed; as well as many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Edith’s life was one of quiet strength, creativity, and devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed.
A celebration of life will take place at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 North Douty Street, Hanford, CA 93230, on Sunday, September 21, at 3:00 pm
