Eliseo Valdez

Eliseo Valdez passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Hanford California. Eliseo was born November 2, 1951 in Hanford, California to Miguel & Santos (Cervantes) Valdez. Eliseo took Linda Pierce to be his wife on August 7, 1976. Together they raised Michael (35) and Christopher Valdez (34). Eliseo was the proud Grandfather/Papi of Mariella (14), Lee (14), Allison (12), Jessica (10) and Gabriela (9).

Eliseo graduated from Hanford High School and continued his education at the College of Sequoias. Eliseo worked for the City of Hanford for 35 years as a Signal Tech. In his early years Eliseo could be found actively participating in church activities and functions at the First Pentecostal Church of Hanford. Eliseo would spend quality time with his family playing football in his front yard with Michael and Christopher after work. He and the boys would walk to Woodrow Wilson Jr. High School and practice baseball. Neighborhood friends would hear of the practice and join in, before long a full neighborhood baseball game would be played with Eliseo pitching for both teams.

The love Eliseo showed for his family was obvious. Eliseo would take walks with Linda around the block sometimes joined by one or more of his grandchildren. Eliseo loved to drive Linda and his boys to Morro Bay. There was nothing he loved more than to just sit in his car with his family and watch as the waves came crashing onto the beach. Eliseo was loved by many and will be missed.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at People's Funeral Chapel; 501 N. Douty Street, Hanford with a Funeral Service on Wednesday, December 30th at 9:00 a.m. at First Pentecostal Church; 429 W. Elm Street, Hanford with Burial following at the Hanford Cemetery; 10500 S. 10th Avenue, Hanford.
