January 3, 1931 – June 21, 2018
Elsie was born in Kinta, OK and her family moved to California when she was 6 years old. She attended local elementary schools and graduated from Hanford High School in 1949. On July 25, 1949 she married her sweetheart, Al Ianni. They were married almost 69 years.
Elsie was mainly a homemaker and an excellent cook. She was active in the local mother’s club, Lakeside and Hanford F.F.A. She loved the Lord with all her heart and showed it by serving as President of Christian Women’s Club, church moderator, secretary and served on other boards at Hanford First Baptist along with being in the choir. Elsie was an outstanding seamstress, knitter and needle point. She enjoyed the hospital guild of Tulare; the ladies would display their needle point art and raise money for the hospital.
Al and Elsie visited many states in our great U.S.A. along with many countries and two provinces in Europe. At the end of a 1 month trip to Europe they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Paris. They left Paris and went to Italy to visit and spend time with Al’s family. They visited Israel together and Elsie went on a mission trip to Thailand.
Elsie was preceded by her parents Edgar and Ivy Wilson along with her brother Jess Wilson.
She is survived by her loving husband Al Ianni, son Dennis Ianni, grandchildren Lindsay and Alan along with her great-granddaughter Issabella “Izzy”. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Thelma Bischoff of Cody, WY, Ann Batti and Theresa Batti both of Tulare, CA along with many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service was held privately by the family.
